If you are only taking a salary of approx. £7,500 per annum you will not be expected to pay back a student loan directly from your salary. Student loans are only payable once a salary exceeds £15,000 per annum.
However, this does not take into account the level of dividend payments you receive each year.
To overcome this, you will be expected to pay the student loan repayment via your self-assessment tax return. You will pay 9% of any taxable income that exceeds £15,000 from your tax return This repayment is paid together with any other taxes that are due for payment.
